      Dr. Nabil Wasif completed a Surgical Oncology Fellowship from the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Los Angeles from 2007-2009 and then joined the Department of Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Arizona as an Assistant Professor. His residency training was at the New York Presbyterian Hospital- Cornell. He has an established GI oncology surgical practice, including pioneering the use of HIPEC at his institution, which is now a three state referral center for patients with advanced malignancies. In 2015, he was promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery and also took over as Program Director for the general surgery residency program. Dr. Wasif has a Masters of Public Health in quantitative methods from the Harvard School of Public Health and his research focuses on cancer health care delivery and comparative effectiveness of therapies. To date he has over 100 publications, several book chapters, and is actively involved in multi-center trials. His newest role is as Division Chief of the newly created Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery at Mayo Clinic Arizona.
