Eric H. Kraut, MD, is Professor of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology, at Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital & Richard Solove Research Institute at The Ohio State University in Columbus, where he also directs the Benign Hematology Program, the Sickle Cell Program, and the Thrombosis and Hemophilia Center. Dr. Kraut received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed an internship and residency at University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and a fellowship at The Ohio State University, Division of Hematology and Oncology. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology. Dr. Kraut has authored or co-authored 104 journal articles, 10 book chapters and monographs, and 99 abstracts, in addition to frequently lecturing. He is the 2017 Best Lecture of the Month in Benign Hematology Fellows recipient, 2017 Marquis Who’s Who of Medicine and Healthcare and a 2017 Castle Connolly Top Doctor award recipient. Dr. Kraut holds professional membership with the American Society of Hematology(ASH). He also serves on multiple committee including the ASH Teaching Cases Subcommittee,(Chair) ,Internal Medicine Appointment and Promotion Tenure Committee (Chair), . He is also a member of the NCCN Cancer- and Chemotherapy-Induced Anemia Panel.
